Green chilly paste1/2tsp
Carom seeds(omam)1tsp
Yogurt/curd1/4cup
Coriander leaves(finely chopped)1tbs
Salta pinch
Baking powder1/2tsp

Mix the flour, salt and baking powder together and preheat the oven at 350 F.
In a bowl beat the butter in a hand blender till frothy and creamy, now add the flour mixture, ginger and green chilly paste and mix it well.
Now it will be crumbly, add the yogurt and mix it well to a soft dough.Divide the dough into two equal parts.
Roll out each part into circle of 1/4 inch thickness.Cut it into desired shape with a cookie cutter or knife.Arrange the cookies on a lined baking tray and gently prick it with a fork, bake it in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or till golden color.
Serve it as a snack along with a cup of tea.

Enjoy.....

  • Finely chopped curry leaves can also be added for extra flavor.
  • Carom seeds can be substituted with cumin seeds(jeeragam).
  • Instead of green chillies, red chilly powder can be used which gives a nice color to the cookie.
